It gives you real-time insight into inbound and outbound freight based on sales orders, purchase orders, deliveries, stock transfers, and returns, and it integrates seamlessly with sales order scheduling, order-to-cash and procure-to-pay, and your other logistics applications.

Embedded TM

Transportation Management, now native to S/4HANA.

Since S/4HANA 1709, Transportation Management runs embedded inside S/4HANA, replacing the legacy LE-TRA module, which SAP is retiring. Running TM as part of the digital core, rather than a separate system, removes whole layers of integration overhead and cost.

  • No master-data transfer to TM, so the CIF interface is no longer needed

    A direct, web-services integration: planning results flow to EWM, transportation units are created automatically in the warehouse, and execution confirmations such as loading and quantity discrepancies flow back to TM.

  3. 03SAP EM

    Monitor transportation execution end to end. Dispatchers, shippers, and ordering parties track planned events or report actual ones across freight units, orders, bookings, transportation units, and resources.

  4. 04SAP GTS

    Handle customs processing and run trade-compliance checks on TM business documents before goods move.
